Event Store was thrilled to have the opportunity to sponsor another fantastic DDD Foundations and DDDEU event! Here's a wrap-up of our time at the event.
The conference sets the perfect stage to discover how others are using Domain-Driven Design to build better software. It's a platform to fuel your passion for tackling complexity at the heart of software.
The content was programming language agnostic and covered a lot of topics including analysis, modelling, systems thinking and complexity theory, architecture, testing, refactoring and more!
The event this year was a remarkable success with attendees visiting our booth to learn about EventStoreDB and how it can help their event-driven architecture.
Of course, our swag drew a lot of interest! We distributed 120 pairs of our iconic Event Store socks, a beloved tradition at the event, drawing returning attendees eager to see this year's new design. Ouro pins and stickers, complete with a touch of glitter, were also a crowd favourite.
We had our Steam Deck OLED raffle and Liam Woodleigh-Hardinge was picked as the lucky winner! Congratulations Liam! Unfortunately Liam had left the venue before we'd drawn the winner, so his colleague, Salvatore Vitale, collected it for him.
Our iconic giant map went missing in action! We remain hopeful for its safe return in time for the next event.
The highlight talk for the team, was Alberto Brandolini's captivating talk on "Modelling up!" Delving into the dilemma of having a flawless software model but being hindered by an imperfect business model, Alberto explored the intricacies of bringing modeling precision to the business and strategy realms. The team found inspiration in Alberto's insightful slide and agreed that he eloquently encapsulated the process.
We were delighted to connect with everyone who joined us at the event meet-up. It was a fantastic opportunity to mingle, discuss the day's enlightening talks, and exchange valuable insights.
A huge thank you to the DDDEU organizers for hosting yet another outstanding conference this year! We can't wait to see what next year has in store with a new location and exciting new events on the horizon.
